We live in Ukhta in Kouratov Street in a 9 storey-building. Our flat is neither big nor small. It is on the fifth floor. It is number 59. Our flat has three rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a corridor. Our flat has all modern conveniences: central heating, gas, electricity, running cold and hot water, a lift and a chute.

Our living-room is big. It is light because it has two large windows. There is a piano on the left. There is a round stool near the piano. Above the piano there is a picture on the wall. The TV set is on the right. There is an armchair and a sofa near the TV set. In this room there is a furniture unit. A thick carpet covers the floor. The curtains on the window match the walls. All this makes the room cosy. We like to spend evenings in this room. We watch TV, listen to music or discuss the problems of the day.

My parents’ room is rather small. There are two beds, a dressing table with a mirror and a wardrobe there. On the bedside table there is an alarm-clock, an electric lamp and some books.

I have my own room. There is not much furniture there. There is a sofa on the right. The wardrobe is near the window. There are two chairs at the desk and a TV set in the corner of the room. There is also a computer in my room. On the walls you can see shelves with disks and posters. I like my room very much. When my friends come to see me I invite them into my room.

Our kitchen is big and comfortable. The furniture in the kitchen is dark. Our kitchen is well-equipped. There is a gas stove, a refrigerator, a microwave oven and a toaster. You can also see a sink, a cupboard and a table with four stools.

The bathroom is very cosy too. There is a bath, a washbasin with a mirror over it. To the left of the mirror there is a towel-rail and to the right there is a shelf to keep tooth-paste and tooth-brushes. We have a washing-machine which is in the bathroom too.

The corridor in our flat is long and narrow. There is a telephone in it.

I like my flat. My friends say that it is comfortable. My parents are hospitable. They often invite friends and relatives to our place. And everybody feels at home here.

After that he dresses and has breakfast (his mother cooks it for him).
