These as well as others adorned with various types of ornaments, presented themselves for waging the war.

All the Daityas were clad in the divine costumes, All of them were decorated with the divine pastes and the garlands. The divine kavacas adorned their bodies. Their high flags were fluttering.

All the demons were equipped with weapons. All were thundering like the clouds and were shaking the earth with the rattling sound of the moving of their chariots.

They were immensely stomg possessing the divine chariots equipped with all the weapons. They were invincible with thick arms like the serpents. They were inimical to the gods and were the loving sons of Diti. All of them how red eyes.

They were as valorous as the sun, fire and Indra. Their weapons had the force of Indra's vajra or the lightening. They always kept their fangs open. They had the hair of smoke and green colours. They were advancing like the clouds of the winter season.

Banasura was the valorous son of Bali, who possessed a thousand arms. He marched forward in the battlefield with crores of the charioteers and Atirathis comprising of the vast army. He, then wearing the kavaca got ready to wage a war.

All the Daityas could practice illusion. All of them could fight with the use of the divine weapons. All of them were arrogant because of their strength. All of them had received boons from the gods.

The bodies of all of them resembled the mountains of gold. The heads of all of them were wearing the Kirlta crown, a turban, and the mukutas. All of them were adorned with the divine ornaments.

All of them had the kavacas and the flags of gold. The Daityas, mounted over the chariots appeared like the planets in the sky during the winter season.

The gold medals worn by them around their necks, were dazzling like fire flames. Adorned with them, the charioteers appeared like the blossoming plash trees with grace.

Surrounded by them, Banasura looked like having been surrounded by the clouds of the rainy season. He was seated over a chariot which was twelve cubits in length, holding a Sakti and a gada in his hands.

The steed of his chariot, the flags and the yoke looked wonderfully beautiful. There were astonishing types of paintings in the chariots. It was filled with weapons like the gadas and parighas. It was further decorated with the golden net.

Five terrific Daityas, with a clear mind, were protecting the chariot of Banasura. Because of their deformed faces those Daityas looked quite awful.

The five of them were known by the names of Subdhu, Meghanad, valorous Bhimagarbha, Kanaka mfirdha, and forceful Ketuman.

In order to destroy the army of the gods, the chariot over which the Daitya king was mounted looked like Garuda the king of birds. On the rear side of it the paintings in silver and gold had been made. The rumbling sound of the wheels of the chariot resembled the thundering of the clouds, which could be heard.

An asura named Bala, the son of Danayusa, was surrounded by a lakh of awful chariots.

The valorous Daitya mounted over a chariot driven by a thousand of bears and drove out for a fight. His chariot was made of black iron was quite awful and invincible. The fluttering flag was embossed with an effigy of a crow.

His excellent crown was glittering like the Jambunad gold. He himself had the complexion of a moon, and had the lustre of lightning and the qualities were of gold. The glamorous kinta added to his grace, like a mountain looking graceful with its shining peak.

The demon named Numici had eight thousand chariots under his command, which were driven by the donkeys. All of them could create deep sound like the clouds.

The chariots and the charioteers, had enough of weapons with them and could fight in a wonderful manner. They resembled the clouds. They had enormous force and speed.
